School days + Book rec
So this was the weather report today: A bright sunny morning bordering to burning hot, a cold heavy rainy afternoon (I'm talking puddles everywhere rain), and a nice warm evening.
Yup that's Houston for ya! But I have to say, wearing yellow shorts with a thick furry parka wasn't that strange at all. I'm kind of upset how some of my course materials got damp though. And it's only the 2nd day of school. :'(
I'm very excited for my classes this semester! Except maybe micro economics.. but, luckily I only have one to finish for the rest of my college career. My schedule is actually the best schedule. I have classes from 8:30 in the morning (I actually don't mind since I've wanted to wake up early) and ends at 7:00 pm. I do have 2 one hour breaks in between so it isn't as bad as it seems. I have that for Mondays and Wednesdays, and then I have one class on Tuesday.
Thats it! :D #4dayweekend I'm hoping to make myself busy with reading.
I've been reading a book called Quiet: The power of introverts in a world that won't stop talking. The author talks about the scientific back up of how introverts work as well as why we need be aware that they can be powerful in our society. We need to recognize more introverts because what may come as natural obvious reactions for an extrovert may be completely different for an introvert. Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Ghandi, and many more were all introverts but they found a way up to success. I can't really summarize everything here so I suggest you to just read the book :)
