Lately I've been having your typical "what-am-I-doing-with-my-life" thoughts as I tread half way through my fall semester of my junior year in college. I found myself needing an outlet to talk to, so today, I picked up my laptop and video-called my parents.
"why laptop" you may ask. Well, my outdated phone was victimized to a software update and now it fails to turn on wifi or data. Lovely.
After an hour of pep talk and encouragement, I spent an hour cooking salmon and potatoes while my mom instructed me how to do so. From cutting the potatoes to seasoning the salmon. I had to carry my laptop and hover it over the stove for her to see. You should've seen me, its pretty comical.
OKAY but here are some things that have happened since I last posted:
- Road-tripped to the Grand Canyon
- Traveled to GREECE
- Did a 10 week internship at Amazon
- Went cliff jumping
- Turned 21!
- Applied for an Entrepreneurship Program
- Had a Day Trip to Austin (see image above)
- Restarted this blog
I'm sure there will be a lot of content posted here with all my experiences listed above in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for that! And for those who are new, Welcome!
One takeaway from this post: Never forget how important your parents are. They want you to call them once in a while and they want to be there for you when you need them. We get so caught up with school, work, and life that it's easy to forget that they are a phone call away. Appreciate them.
